I just returned home from Anchorage, Alaska. I have 3 weeks off for the layoff, and then I return back to the Joseph tour in the New Jersey/New York area. But I end up in Florida and Texas starting the end of January, which means a warm winter and lots of Mexican food!!!

I just arrived for a week sitdown in Achorage, Alaska with the Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat National Tour. It is a bit cold here, but not as bad as it could be!

Updates

November 29, 2006

It has been awhile since I have updated my site. So, here are a few updates for now. I plan on adding photos during my Christmas Layoff. I will be getting 3 weeks off this year, then right back to the Joseph tour. More to come I promise!

Back to Work - Early!

August 1, 2006

My vacation time is cut short again... I head to SAVI - Sound Shop this Sunday, Aug. 6 to start working on Monday, Aug. 7. I will be in the shop for 3 weeks building my Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat sound system, plus helping out with the Jesus Christ Superstar sound system build. Then I head to Buffalo, NY to assist at Jesus Christ Superstar tech week. Then I fly to Chattanooga, TN for my Joseph tech.

The sound packages and engineers have been switched between shows. I will now be with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Matt will be with Jesus Christ Superstar.

Cats - Tech Week

I will be heading to Boston, MA next weekend to help out during Tech Week of the national tour of Cats for Troika Entertainment. I will get a chance to work with one of their top sound guys, Byron. My plan is to help out where needed, plus learn as much as I can from Byron and his styles and techniques.

More Domain Names

June 23, 2006

  I just purchased five new domain names today. The first three (#1,#2,#3) will be add-on domain names for this current site (thesoundguy.cc). The other two (#4,#5) are for my recently started production company WES-Side Productions.

Possible future plans include switching over this main site (thesoundguy.cc) domain name to use the new (thesoundguy.net) domain. I added the Thoroughly Modern Millie tour photos, plus the remainder of the Paris Can Can tour photos from Korea and UK. This puts my total of photos up to 4,717.

Back HOME!!

June 12, 2006

The tour is complete, loaded out, and I am back home! I will be off for the next 2 months, before I head back out to start this craziness all over again. Next show will be Jesus Christ Superstar starring Ted Neeley and Corey Glover. The season will start August 28 and goes all the way until June 2007. I will be adding the photos from Thoroughly Modern Millie tour, plus all the remainder Paris Can Can photos online by the wend of the week.

I have spent the past 3 months on the Thoroughly Modern Millie tour with Troika Entertainment. We finish up the tour here in Newark, NJ. I will return home for a well deserved break next Monday afternoon.

Next National Tour

I have been offered the position of A1 - FOH Audio Engineer for the production of Jesus Christ Superstar with Troika Entertainment next season. The season starts August 28 and runs through June 2007. Ted Neeley will be playing the role of Jesus, and it will also be starring Corey Glover as Judas. I will provide more details once I get the information.

I have updated my website to include my new tour Thoroughly Modern Millie with Troika Entertainment. I had some time here in Kansas City, Missouri to catch up on some personal projects.

On The Road Again

We just travelled from Dayton, Ohio to Charleston, West Virginia. I am still in the handover process, and will be very busy in the next few weeks to come. This show is a very busy show, and I have no worries about getting bored with this show or tour. I will start putting pictures online whenever I get the chance.

WES-Side Productions

March 3, 2006

It is official! My company has been filed by the state of Ohio and is completely official on this date of March 3, 2006. My production company, called WES-Side Productions, will not be a revenue source just yet. I am still a freelance technician and designer, but I wanted to make sure the name was reserved. I will place more information about my company when I have more!

New Tour with Troika

February 20, 2006

I have been offered the position of A1 / FOH Audio Engineer on the Thoroughly Modern Millie - National Tour with Troika Entertainment. I have been trying to get in with Troika for years, and now I have my chance. I will leave the Paris Can Can - UK tour on March 2, to join the Millie tour on March 3. Thoroughly Modern Millie runs through June 11, 2006.

5 Week - UK tour

February 16, 2006

I head back out today to the UK for a 5 week tour with the Paris Can Can show. I organized the photos from the Korea tour, but ran out of time to upload them onto my server before leaving today. I hope I will get some time while on the UK tour to add the photos. If not, I will be adding the Korea and UK tour photos once I return at the end of March.

First Visit to Korea

I leave tomorrow for Seoul, South Korea. I will working with the Paris Can Can show once again for this sit-down tour in downtown Seoul, South Korea. We will be there for a full 2 week engagement. I am really exciting to explore Asia once again and adding South Korea to my growing list of countries visited.

New Can Can tour announced

January 9, 2006

The Paris Can Can show has just added another country to the growing list of stops for 2006. So first I will be heading to Seoul, South Korea for the first leg on January 21. This will be a two week sit-down tour ending on February 5. The second leg of the tour will be the 5 week UK tour (England, Scotland, Wales) from February 18 - March 26. The third leg of the tour will be in Poland from May 26 - June 11. I will post when I get new photos online from all these tours.

Happy New Year

Not too much excitement this year, but at least I did not have to work New Years Eve! I have load out for Phantom tonight, which will make it a long night. On other good news, this is kind of an anniversary for me quiting smoking. I quit last New Years day, but I did cheat a little... I did indeed smoke 3 weeks in April while working on the P&O Arcadia project. That was a stressful, cutting it close on time gig.
